VIATT 2025: Unlocking New Possibilities for Vietnam’s Textile Industry

by creativehomex

Vietnam’s textile industry has rapidly emerged as one of the world’s largest producers, ranking third in global textile exports, behind only China and Bangladesh. With its deep-rooted history in silk craftsmanship and its embrace of modern textile technologies, Vietnam’s textile sector presents vast opportunities for growth, attracting both domestic and international businesses. To tap into this potential, the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles, and Textile Technologies (VIATT) will return from 26–28 February 2025 with a renewed focus on sustainability and digital transformation.

Mark your calendar: VIATT 2025 will be held from 26–28 February 2025.

Vietnam’s textile and apparel sector includes around 7,000 companies, employing over three million workers. The sector is highly export-driven, with approximately 80% of production dedicated to exports, while the remaining 20% caters to domestic consumption. Supported by a robust logistics infrastructure, a skilled workforce, and a stable political environment, the industry is poised for continued expansion. The ongoing transformation of the sector is being driven by key trends in sustainability and technological innovation, creating new opportunities for exhibitors and buyers at Vietnam’s premier textile showcase.

Key Trends Shaping Vietnam’s Textile Market at VIATT 2025

Sustainability is at the forefront of the evolving textile landscape in Vietnam. More companies are embracing eco-friendly materials such as organic cotton, recycled polyester, and Tencel. International brands manufacturing in Vietnam are also increasingly committing to the Fashion Industry Charter on Climate Action, aiming for net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.

To further promote sustainability, VIATT 2025 will introduce Econogy Hub, a dedicated platform for eco-conscious suppliers and service providers to connect with like-minded industry professionals. Other Econogy features include Econogy Finder, an independent verification tool to help sustainable exhibitors communicate their green credentials, and Econogy Talks, which will host seminars, forums, and presentations focused on sustainable practices and innovations.

Alongside sustainability, digital transformation is another key driver for Vietnam’s textile industry. VIATT 2025 will feature an Innovation & Digital Solutions Zone, providing a platform for exhibitors to showcase cutting-edge technologies such as 3D printing, AI-driven design, and digital printing. These innovations are transforming the design and manufacturing process, enabling increased efficiency and customized production to meet specific market demands.

New Product Zones and International Participation

In addition to the new sustainability-focused initiatives, VIATT 2025 will also debut two exciting product zones: the India Pavilion, organized by the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL), and the Innovation & Digital Solutions Zone. Returning for another edition are the Japan and Taiwan Pavilions, with the Japan Pavilion being a standout feature at previous events in the region.
