With its dark yet sensuous theme, this modern contemporary home merges a sophisticated palette with delicate detailing.
At only 526 sqft, the small size of this condo did not deter Pins Studio from creating a home interior that’s brimming with luxurious style. In fact, a series of creative ideas were evoked to fully maximise every inch of the abode’s limited space.
In the living room, the designers brought out a distinctive theme using dark grey panels for the TV wall, matched with a grey couch and dark wood console. Right behind the sofa, the designers took advantage of the space by tucking in a cosy study area. Here, the wood partition that envelopes the space slides open to reveal the master bedroom.
As a counterpoint to the living room, the open kitchen which extends to a dining area features polished white surfaces and black cabinets to infuse a monochromatic look. A space-saving approach that works wonderfully, the entire space appears comfortably spacious – the white counter which serves as the dining table accommodates up to four pax at one time while the galley-like kitchen is perfectly composed to reflect an ergonomic work triangle.
Moving on to the bedroom, the space takes on shades of grey to continue the sophisticated ambience in the living areas while complementing the wood partition that makes up its entrance. Walls are clad in two types of materials – the top part features a concrete-like grey surface while the bottom half is adorned with marble finishing with grey veins to instil a touch of luxury. As the bedroom receives ample natural light from the large windows, the dark palette in this room exudes an intimate atmosphere without being sombre.
Diverting from this dark-toned palette, the walk-in wardrobe is kept to a bright and light theme with warm wood surfaces for its open closet system. Throughout this home, the lighting has been designed to emphasize the key features of each space as well as bring to life the elegant detailing that gives this home its own unique personality.
