The designer, Alvinterior Concept, decorated this home with a black and white colour scheme, using marble in modern cuts for fixtures and contemporary furnishings to add extravagance to the décor.
The foyer presents a view of the open layout starting from the dry kitchen and extending to the painting of a white carnation on the far wall of the seating area. The bar is composed of Nero Marquina marble and flanked by a pair of modern falling water features also constructed from slabs of Spanish black marble. The water features are composed of near-vertical panels enabling water to flow down into trays filled with black river pebbles, saturating the space with the soothing sounds of water in motion.
An area carpet with circular lines is positioned in the centre of the room to provide contrast in form as well as shade against the seemingly random arrangement of light boxes on the ceiling and the opposite wall.
Adjacent to the dry kitchen is a wall of reflective glass panels marking out the extents of the dining space. On either side of this mirrored wall hang a pair of exquisite wall lamps, their cool white light distributed throughout the space by the mirror panels. A circular table is positioned below the fine crystal chandelier to serve as the dining surface, accompanied by eight high-back dining chairs with button-back upholstery in grey.
Conveniently located next to the dining area is the seating space with the television mounted on a wall of white stone with grey veins. The console surface is panelled in white to match the walls of the seating area and projects from the stone façade, floating on the warm yellow glow of recessed lights.
The family lounge presents a striking visual composition of straight lines cut into black feature walls and dramatic lighting in the form of orbs suspending from the ceiling. The black feature walls are elegantly back-lit to create an illusion of depth between the façade and the grey walls, and the orbs of light serve to draw visual attention up the extra-high walls, making the space seem more spacious with the increase in volume.
The master bedroom contains yet another notable feature of this home, a boutique-style walk-in wardrobe obscured behind a set of sliding mirrored glass panels decorated with frosted botanical lines. The botanical-themed glass panels also frame the bedstead and its full-height fabric headboard, back-lit with warm yellow light to luxurious effect.
The other bedrooms of this home are lightly decorated to appeal to the sensibilities of the occupants, with one bedroom accented with floral bedspreads and blue drapery, while the other is decorated with a minimalist assembly of modern lines in grey against a white background back-lit in ultraviolet.
