Designed by JMS Home Arts Interior Design, this 2-storey terrace house evokes a feeling of calm immediately. Spaces are given a neutral backdrop, but each room is exquisitely enhanced with stylish details to create a homey atmosphere that is highly personal at the same time.
Stepping into the living room, the space presents a down-to-earth composition of brown, grey and creamy tones. The TV wall draws attention to it with its patterned surface while a coffee table crafted out from a tree trunk adds a unique decorative touch to the space. Heavy drapes and a dark rug turn up the cosy volume while balancing out the sleek ceiling design.
At the dining area which sits right next to the bar, the space is kept open and spacious. A solid timber dining table is employed along with upholstered chairs to match with the timber finishing of the bar counter. On the side, the built-in cabinet accommodates a shimmering collection of the owner’s liquor collection. From here, the space leads to the dry kitchen which features wood-toned cabinets flushed against the wall to keep the space clean and clutter-free. A framed glass door at the far end opens into the wet kitchen which is furnished with the same cabinetry and colour palette.
Simple decor in the bedrooms further brings out the home’s earthy appeal. In the master bedroom, the master bed is accentuated with wooden panels on both sides as well as the matching bedside tables. Similar finishing is used for the wardrobe at the side. Opposite the bed, a floor-to-ceiling partition houses a vanity top on the other side.
More colours ensue in the second room which is used as a chillax spot and a home office. Green and red beanbags set off a fun vibe while a built-in shelving unit and study desk infuse practicality and space-saving functionality to the room. On the wall, the owner’s caps collection creates a whimsical feature wall element, further enhancing the personalized aesthetic of the space.
