Turkish brand Feltouch, in collaboration with designer Boris Berlin, has swept both the 2025 Red Dot Design Award (Lighting category) and the 2025 iF Design Award for its Modular Lighting series. Celebrated for seamlessly integrating acoustic performance with sculptural aesthetics, the collection will be on display at the Red Dot Design Museum for one year.
Building on Feltouch’s international acclaim most notably the 2023 Red Dot “Best of the Best” for the Flux series Modular Lighting advances the brand’s commitment to functional beauty and eco-innovation. Each fixture is crafted from 50% recycled PET felt, offering both sound absorption and ambient illumination in a single material system.
Two-Module System, 53 Colors
The series comprises two interlocking modules:
STEP: A stepped, conical form that directs light downward while dampening reverberation.
SEGMENT: A domed canopy that diffuses light broadly and softens room acoustics.
With 53 distinct hues and a magnetic connector system, fixtures can be assembled in endless configurations ideal for offices, lobbies, restaurants, and co-working hubs seeking both visual intrigue and acoustic comfort.
“By unifying acoustic performance, modular architecture, and material minimalism, we’ve achieved a breakthrough in design value,”
says Necmi Çıran, Feltouch co-founder.
“Outstanding design marries aesthetics, function, and sustainability,”
adds Cem Özuğur, Feltouch co-founder.
