In their latest project, Eloquent, Nu Infinity explores the art of transforming spatial dynamics through innovative reinterpretations of form and composition. This design concept highlights the challenges of working with volumetric spaces and the creative solutions that arise from embracing these challenges.
One of the project’s defining features is its use of elongated rectangular forms. In a daring shift, Nu Infinity swapped the living area with the dry kitchen, creating a unique flow that accentuates the home’s width. This clever reconfiguration not only maximises the visual impact but also introduces a striking, continuous TV feature panel. The panel seamlessly integrates storage with a wine display cabinet, serving as both a functional and aesthetic centrepiece.
The dry kitchen, in contrast, draws the eye upward with its grandeur, establishing a visual connection between the downstairs and upstairs spaces. This emphasis on verticality adds a sense of grandeur and cohesiveness to the overall design.
Perhaps the most unconventional feature of Eloquent is the shower area in the master bedroom. Designed as a focal point, this space blends seamlessly with the bedroom, using smart glass technology to control opacity. The result is a spacious and bright bath area that balances privacy and openness. Whether highlighting the striking feature wall or celebrating the human form, the shower area offers a sensory experience that redefines the relationship between functionality and aesthetics.
“Be it showing off the beauty of the stunning feature wall or the beauty of the human figure, the idea behind it was to enjoy the quality of spaciousness, staging a (smart glass) box shower area,” the design team remarks.
