Casual Bistro: Bo Concept Presents an Eclectic Mixture of Furnishings in this Coffee House

This café combines a relaxed atmosphere at the front half with a classic ensemble at the rear half for a universally appealing hangout.

The front terrace offers seating in the form of alid-back wicker chairs at circular, glass-topped tables with sceneic views of the nearby park.

The Eddie & Co. Coffeee House is a relatively recent addition to Klang Valley’s café scene designed by Bo Concept and located on the eastern edge of the Kuala Lumpur city limits, in the suburb of Pandan Indah. The establishment is immediately recognizable as a coffee house with the transparent store front, high-contrast signage, and the placement of café furniture – laid-back wicker chairs arranged around circular, glass-topped tables on the front terrace.

The door at the entrance is painted in a dark shade of cyan Nippon Paint calls “Harbour”, the colour appearing as similar to British racing green in the sunlight.

Through the glass windows of the store front, observers are greeted with the sight of a sunlit interior furnished with an eclectic mix of furnishings in classic and contemporary styles. The door is fitted with gilded handles and its glass panes decorated with golden trim in classic style.

The walls of the interior are painted in a pale shade of blue Nippon Paint refers to as “Velvet Touch”, its luminosity helping to extend the reach of sunlight coming through the store front windows. The coffee bar is surrounded by accent walls composed of exposed brick, contrasting tastefully with the pale tone of the walls.

Furniture styles change toward the rear half of the café, the eclectic arrangements turn to a consistent series of rosewood bar stools at high-perch tables and coffee tables arranged with dark leather upholstery. The classic furniture behind the coffee bar is backed by wall treatments in time-honoured, traditional European style and lit with warm yellow lighting.

Pale shades on walls give way to the dark of Nippon Paint’s “Black Magic”, extending from behind the coffee bar and contrasting with the white under-mount sinks in the washrooms. The washroom fittings echo the handle at the entrance, their gilded appearance creating a regal vibe complementing the wall colours.
