With its distinctive modern industrial style, the office of Belco Security Sdn Bhd stands out aesthetically, infusing an elegantly cosy atmosphere within a corporate setting.
Hoe & Yin Design Studio who helmed the interior design of this charming workplace explains that while Belco wanted to convey a strong brand identity in their 10,000 sqft office in Puchong, they also requested for a comfortable space for their employees, dealers and visitors.
From the exterior, the eye-catching facade consisting of vertical lines over the windows set off a unique appearance, leading the eyes to the entrance where Belco’s sign is placed atop a visually-appealing feature wall.
Upon stepping in, a warm and welcoming feeling is prevalent, thanks to a combination of wood fittings, concrete finishing and cosy lighting as well as plush grey seating. On the side, a wood counter with bar chairs provides additional seating space.
From the counter area, the workspace leads towards the discussion rooms featuring glass walls to ensure privacy without compromising visual connection to the rest of the space. Adjacent to these rooms is the service centre, which adopts a grey-dominant palette and wood tones to keep the design theme consistent.
As the client wanted a workplace that promotes engagement and interaction, the office also incorporates a delightful pantry-cafe for staff members and visitors. At one corner, round tables are accompanied by rattan chairs to replicate a cafe-inspired look. Nearby, the main dining hall is a beautifully-styled space which combines wood furniture, upholstered couches and wall murals.
“We opened up the existing roof trusses in this space to give a different feeling in the pantry-cafe,” the designers say, adding that the illustrations on the wall put in a vibrant touch to the overall concept.
On the first floor, the laid-back, industrial theme continues with a palette of black and white tiles, neutral tones and dark wood. From the casual lounge in the centre which comprises a set of upholstered seat, the space flows seamlessly towards the executive rooms which are styled in a sophisticated manner. Across the lounge is a naturally-lit conference room while a spiral staircase next to it creates a sense of visual appeal.
