Most clinics tend to have a cold and stark feeling. Goflex Design & Reno, the interior design firm commissioned to design the interior of DV Prestige, an aesthetic clinic in Kuala Lumpur, aimed to change the conventional impression of clinics by introducing a stylish and innovative concept.
“For this clinic, we went for an exciting and modern interior that is classy and contemporary at the same time,” the design team says. “Ultimately, the concept is centred around creating a positive experience for visitors while also catering to patients and staff through adaptable and functional spaces.”
A biophilic design theme is used in the clinic fitout to connect visitors to the natural environment. This is achieved through ambient lighting, earthy materials and natural elements to help relax and invigorate patients in a treatment setting. In addition, muted tones and luxurious details convey a spa-like ambience in this clinic, ensuring patients feel relaxed and rejuvenated throughout their treatment sessions.
The elegant atmosphere begins at the reception, where sleek furnishing amid a polished palette greets visitors with a warm and luxurious feeling. Earthy, natural tones key in a sophisticated outlook while putting visitors at ease immediately. According to the design team, their approach was to create a sense of belonging for both patients and clinic staff.
“Through our design, we hope to deliver a touch of tranquillity and also an authentic level of professionalism and quality. Thus, we combined the ambience of a spa with a clean and pristine impression of a trusted clinic,” the designers add.
