Company: DAYTONA INTERIORS
Project: DDC Bar
Location: Kaohsiung, Taiwan
Design Team: Yang Yi (Design Director)
This project masterfully integrates computer-controlled home lighting to create a dynamic atmosphere throughout the day. By daylight, Japanese lanterns and diffused membrane lighting softly illuminate natural wood tables and wicker seating. As night falls, colour-changing strip lights and sleek linear beams transform the space into a cyber-inspired setting. A gracefully curved bar and metallic grid partition enhance this dual experience.
The layout centres around a circular bar, ensuring smooth service flow, with dining areas flanking both sides. Dual bar access optimises staff movement, while flexible rectangular tables allow effortless reconfiguration. Sustainability is a key focus, with antibacterial stone powder wall finishes, low-formaldehyde wood, fire-resistant surfaces, and water-saving fixtures ensuring a long-lasting, eco-conscious design.
