This project is a visionary redesign themed around the Future. It emphasises clarity, transparency, and fluidity. Open-plan teaching and conference areas form an international centre for microscopic dentistry, fostering engagement and learning.
A perforated metal reception desk welcomes visitors, with light filtering through to illuminate suspended glazed stones, symbolising teeth. Curved ceilings and soft-edged furniture enhance comfort and evoke the flow of knowledge.
Interconnected pathways and double doors ensure smooth movement and safety. A subtractive design approach reduces environmental impact, using sustainable materials like reservoir silt clay and Bolon carpets. A partial ceiling with acrylic mirrors enhances space perception, while an energy recovery ventilation system filters air, creating a fresh, efficient indoor environment.
