Kartell. returns to Salone del Mobile 2022 with a refreshed take on the future of design and how the brand moves with the ebbs and flows of trends.
The dot behind this renowned brand name is not a typo. In Kartell’s words: “The dot after our name at Salone del Mobile 2022 defines our brand’s identity with maximum precision. Being Kartell means business, industry, design, creativity, stores, digital, events, people, environment and materials. Kartell does not need taglines or slogans. Our identity is conveyed with maximum effect through our products, the result of continuous research. Beauty, company, and business culture are our compasses and keys to success.”
Evidently, this annual design fair is the perfect launchpad for its impeccable designs. At this year’s Salone del Mobile, Kartell offered a wide range of collections for design fans to pore over, including Philippe Starck’s PAPÀ iconic chair. This one-of-a-kind seating masterpiece, made from recycled materials, comes in various hues: blue, green, yellow, black, and white. Pieces in the spotlight also include the bright and cheerful Thierry Tables and Fata Applique by Piero Lissoni, chic K-Wait collections by Rodolfo Dordoni and the neutral and natural Lunam and Undiqu collections by Patricia Urquiola.
At the same time, Kartell unveiled TEA, an abstract-shaped lamp constructed from recycled thermoplastic technopolymer. A collaborative project between Kartell and Ferruccio Laviani this year, the TEA lamp is available in white, terracotta, anthracite, and grey-brown.Additionally, the upholstered classic armchairs Eleganza NIA and Eleganza ELA are put in the spotlight with melange or faux leather to portray understated elegance and contemporary charm.
This year, Kartell also dives deeper into sustainability as its pivotal design theme, showcasing ingenious ideas that celebrate the planet’s beauty.
