Inspired by Nature: Design China Beijing 2021
Design China Beijing returns this September for a four-day event with iconic international design names and local design talents. From 24th to 27th September 2021, as part of the Beijing International Design Week, the 4th edition of Design China Beijing will focus on the theme ‘Nature, Nurture and Sustainable Beauty’ expressed through sustainable design materials and industrial research. Set across 12,000² metres of the remarkable National Agricultural Exhibition Centre, one of the largest exhibition centres in Beijing, the event exhibits over 100 designers, including some of China’s most exciting brands, both established and emerging, as well as the latest products from leading global design brands showcasing their commitment to regenerative design. The fair will focus on sustainable design materials and industrial research, including architectural and urban innovation and new modes of cultural and social interaction through design.

Space for Innovation: Cosentino’s Brand New R&D&I Centre

This impressive facility, known as Inspira Hub and in operation for a few weeks now, has a total surface area of 2,700 sqm spread over two floors and is located within the Cosentino Industrial Park in Cantoria, Almería. The Centre has several spaces, including eleven laboratories with the most advanced technology in materials research and other disciplines, a warehouse, six meeting and co-working rooms, office areas and a conference and audiovisual room.

Sky-Touching Marvel: Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel (ACPV) Designs ‘Lighthouse’ Office Tower in Milan
International architecture and interior design practice Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel (ACPV) unveils the design for the new Milan headquarters of Italian multi-utility company A2A. ACPV’s project reimagines the company’s office spaces as capable of adapting to people’s ever-changing needs at work while reviving the local urban fabric with 6,320 sqm of new green public spaces. The 144-metre-high office tower – named Torre Faro (lighthouse tower in Italian) – will connect Milan’s historic centre and periphery by reactivating a north-south axis that runs from the city centre all the way to ACPV’s Symbiosis business district, located just across the disused railway yard.
