Industrial style originated from the Europe in the late 19th century. The most symbolic industrial styled building by then is the Eiffel tower. The style has gained popularity in the USA after that, and it’s vastly used at bars, offices, galleries and etc. These places will go for industrial style as their style of interior design. Hence, the industrial style that we are talking about now, is actually the American industrial style.

1、Exposed Brick Wall and Cement

One thing special about industrial style is that it retains the natural beauty of things. The essence of industrial style is to retain the original look. You can opt to exposing a red brick wall, stones, cement-silver texture, concrete for the walls. One doesn’t have to paint or decorate the brick wall to bring out raw and rough feeling. Sometimes, the designer will even choose to chip away some bricks to make it looks ancient.

2、Neutral Colour Palette: Black, White and Grey

For example, leather sofa is always the first choice for an industrial style space. One can go for brown, caramel or black as the colour of the leather.
