Seamless Elegance: Gamalux’s Contemporary Workplace by Stuarts Design [MFID Winner 2025]

by creativehomex

At the Gamalux office in Shah Alam, Stuarts Design delivers a contemporary workplace shaped by clarity, openness, and ease of movement. The design champions visual continuity and natural light, creating an environment where productivity, collaboration, and comfort coexist effortlessly. As the designer explains, “This office layout is all about seamless flow, where work, collaboration, and comfort come together naturally.”

The lobby sets the tone with quiet confidence. Clean, bright, and undeniably cosy, it makes a strong first impression without feeling overbearing. The reception counter, crafted from translucent glass blocks, becomes a subtle focal point—both functional and sculptural—allowing light to diffuse softly across the space. Flanking the reception are vertical green walls that introduce a refreshing natural element, balancing the crisp, modern palette. At the centre, a circular seating area encourages informal interaction and offers visitors a moment of pause. Blue-grey accents punctuate an all-white backdrop, reinforcing a modern, composed aesthetic while keeping the space warm and approachable.

The main office continues the lobby’s design language with a clean and streamlined layout. Here, the emphasis is on openness and connectivity. Discussion rooms and managers’ offices are positioned along the windowed perimeter, ensuring access to natural light. Rather than enclosing these spaces with solid walls, glass partitions are used throughout, allowing daylight and exterior views to filter into the central workstations.

This thoughtful transparency fosters a sense of inclusivity and visual continuity across the floorplate. Blue-grey accents reappear in the dividers and carpeting, subtly zoning the space while maintaining a cohesive, modern vibe. A standout feature is the large conference room, enclosed by elegant curvilinear glass walls that soften the geometry of the office and lend a fluid, contemporary character.

Designed as more than just a functional break area, the pantry is spacious and inviting. A long counter runs along the window, making the most of daylight and views, while echoing the reception’s design through the use of glass blocks. The kitchenette is kept minimal with white cabinetry, reinforcing the office’s clean aesthetic. This space is ideal for meals, informal discussions, or moments of rest, offering staff a relaxed setting that supports wellbeing and social connection within the workplace.
