Whether you are a ballet aficionado, art and culture enthusiast or design lover, FreedBallet will offer a feast for your senses. As part of their global tour, FreedBallet returns to KL once again for a one-night-only show on 2 February 2024 at KL Convention Centre, promising an unforgettable evening of music, dance and a mesmerising light show presented on a beautifully crafted stage.
FreedBallet, renowned for pushing the boundaries of classical ballet, is set to weave a New Year’s fairy tale in this upcoming show, illustrating how the power of dance can unite us all in a shared experience of beauty and emotion. “FreedBallet is more than just a ballet show. For us, it is a dream of freedom and creativity brought to life. It is about going beyond and finding new forms in ballet art,” FreedBallet shares. “Each of our shows is a teamwork of stage director, lighting designers, leading performers, musicians and dancers – we use everyone’s talent and skill to achieve perfection, not only in creativity, but also in the technical aspect of the performance. Freedballet show is a project designed to bring diverse people together in the name of peace and good. We look forward to seeing you at our concerts and hope to share our brightest feelings with you.”
The evening will be a showcase of the best excerpts from timeless classics such as “Swan Lake,” “Don Quixote,” and “The Nutcracker.” These pieces, beloved by audiences worldwide, will be reimagined through the lens of FreedBallet’s unique artistic vision. The performance will be elevated by the participation of the finest alumni from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet and principal artists of FreedBallet, including the renowned Vitally Amialishka and Nika Tskhvitariia.
Adding to the star-studded lineup are guest international ballet stars Oleg Demchenko, Nikita Ksenofontov, and Ludmila Khitrova, each bringing their own unique flair and international acclaim to the Kuala Lumpur stage. Their performances, marked by technical precision and emotive power, are sure to leave an indelible mark on the hearts of the audience. Accompanying the performance will be the extraordinary musical talents of pianists Dmitrii Nekhoroshev and Aysylu Salyakhova, both prize-winners at numerous international competitions and graduates of prestigious music conservatoires.
For those with a keen eye for design, the show would be an immersive experience as well: spectacular light shows and enchanting stage design transform the performance into a visual symphony, while meticulously choreographed lighting and imaginative set designs play in harmony with the dancers’ movements. The addition of flying artists adds a new dimension to the stage, making it a living canvas that challenges the traditional boundaries of ballet and stagecraft.
