Project: Dreams of the Red Chamber Restaurant

This project introduces a soft furnishing approach rarely used by the team, blending contrasting materials, patterns, and décor to capture the eclectic essence of old Shanghai style. Unique statement lighting and adjustable ambient lights create a dining atmosphere reminiscent of early 20th-century interiors.
To minimise waste and reduce environmental impact, existing partitions, flooring, and ceilings were preserved. The focus on soft furnishings allows effortless updates to refresh the space without major renovations, supporting sustainability.
Three thoughtfully planned pathways ensure smooth movement for staff, hotel guests, and business access, preventing congestion. The bar’s design allows restricted office access at night, enhancing security while maintaining seamless operations.
