A project helmed by Look Architects, the design of the new annex building extension to the existing conservation building for LKC School of Medicine features the architect’s unique approach.
Clad in full height curtain walls of reflective double-glazed glass, the annex building detracts from its own presence hidden in reflections of the historic conservation building.
The annex extension pays homage to the conservation building, echoing its classical order. A sensitively proportioned slit incision is made in the curtain wall at the roof terrace level opening up views of the surrounding mature rain trees.
