For its 90th anniversary at Salone del Mobile 2026, Bonaldo has abandoned conventional product display in favour of a thesis-driven installation. Curated by Massimo Castagna, the stand is conceived as a three‑dimensional landscape where volumes, surfaces and proportions operate as a unified architectural system. Perspective, rhythm and atmosphere are not decorative additions but structural outcomes.
The underlying concept – “Architecture of Objects” – argues that an object transcends its functional role when it begins to actively define the space around it. This year’s new collection interprets furniture as a coherent ecosystem, with each piece shaping and articulating its environment through continuous dialogue between matter, proportion and use. Within this framework, the object assumes architectural value, contributing to immersive and harmonious interiors.
Material sits at the core of this research. Weight, thickness, surface finish and texture are treated as structural foundations rather than aesthetic overlays. The resulting pieces are built for longevity, supported by a sophisticated and materially rich palette.

Among the highlights is the Amour armchair by Fabrice Berrux, which emerges as a focal point of the presentation. Inspired by the notion of “love”, the piece combines sculptural softness with ergonomic precision. Its continuous, enveloping form eliminates sharp edges in favour of fluid curves that echo an embracing gesture. The design balances emotional expression with functional intent, translating comfort into a visual and tactile experience while maintaining a restrained formal language.
Flatiron table by Mauro Lipparini takes its name from New York’s Fuller Building, whose triangular profile the piece echoes. Defined by asymmetrical volumes and clean geometric lines, each joint is engineered for exactitude. The table reads as a miniature architectural gesture – bold, restrained and unapologetically sculptural.
Together, the collection reflects Bonaldo’s ongoing exploration of furniture as a spatial tool—objects that do not merely inhabit interiors, but actively construct them. The anniversary presentation positions the brand within a continuum that acknowledges its heritage while projecting a distinctly architectural vision for the future of living environments.
