Soothing yet stylish, this home interior featuring an earthy palette is designed to appeal to the senses in a calm and serene way.
Something unique but breathtaking is called for when it comes to this 1,800 sqft residence. Thus, Rekaphosis Interior decided upon a Muji-inspired style to ensure the interior concept evokes a warm yet minimalist aesthetic. The result is nothing short of stunning – innovative wood details and a down-to-earth palette work harmoniously to take this abode to the next level of style and comfort.
In this home, warm wood and marble work harmoniously together to evoke a calm and composed interior theme while serving as contrasting elements to add depth and texture to the space. A feature wall with curvilinear motifs carved onto a wood slab infuses a touch of personality to this warm and welcoming home.
A long sofa in velvety grey upholstery anchors the living room while wood panels paired with marble finishing envelop the space to create a warm and cocoon-like atmosphere. Everything else is kept to its bare essentials – we can also see this approach applied elegantly in the dining area.
A wood divider that doubles up as a shelving unit demarcates the dining space from the living area. A dining table with a marble top is used to continue the natural-toned palette. As the table is placed next to the sliding door, the space receives ample daylight to generate a soothing feeling. Sheers soften the ambience to create a relaxing place for meals and conversations.
While wood dominates the living and dining, a white palette and polished surfaces highlight the dry kitchen, offering a visual respite from the natural tones. The wet kitchen takes on the same theme to create a clean and clutter-free look. However, the designers utilised wood again in the master bedroom to keep the warm minimalist concept consistent.
For the master bedroom, cosy warmth highlights the space. The bed is elevated atop an illuminated platform for a cosy feel, while the headboard extends into a niche with underlighting to maintain the same effect.
