Manhattan-chic style is a unique concept that speaks of energy and constant change in the dynamic fast-paced lifestyles of the city, which is pretty much similar around the Klang Valley. Inspired by the modern interiors of affluent Upper East Side penthouses, this super semi-detached beauty certainly deserves a nod for its well-designed and seriously chic spaces. The tour begins at the heart of the house – a living area which features a show-stopping double-volume ceiling that instantly adds grandeur and a sense of airiness to the entire building. A long hanging 6-bladed ceiling fan highlights the fantastic ceiling height and emanates a laid-back weekend feel while a cluster of grey and beige seaters are combined with dark tables and a plain black area rug. Very simple yet this composition exudes artistry in its finest.

But of course, the highlight of this space would be the walls covered in reclaimed, untreated pine wood arranged in a herringbone pattern. “These strips of solid wood normally used to construct furniture frames are a creative way to introduce natural warmth and rustic character into a home,” says Mr Ng Thean Hooi, the Managing Director behind this prestigious development. Ng further added that he gladly allowed designer Ian Chew, a freehand in creating these beautiful interiors, in which Ian revealed, “This living area is definitely my favourite part of the house. The rich timber tones go perfectly with the black, brown and grey furnishings and give the space a warm and homely feel.”

Nearby, the stylish dining area adjoins a white island unit, creating a seamless transition between the dining and dry kitchen. While the latter features a polished scheme with mirrored surfaces and white, gleaming cabinetry, the dining area on the other hand is a delightful marriage of upper-class elegance and industrial practicality, where swanky upholstered chairs and tasteful china meet vintage factory lamps and rustic wood textures. It undoubtedly is a gorgeous home – fresh, airy and minimal but certainly not lacking in style.
