The homeowner’s preference for a black-and-white palette inspired a minimalist design. A pure white base, accented with black lines and grey tones, ensures balance and comfort. A mix of rounded, linear, and irregular elements adds visual interest, while strategic lighting softens the stark contrast, creating a sophisticated ambiance akin to a piano’s black-and-white keys.
To enhance privacy and a sense of ritual, the designer added a transitional corridor at the entrance. The original terrace was refurbished, replacing corroded decking with pebble-stone flooring and WPC seating for a tranquil rooftop retreat.
Maximising natural light, the design minimises partitions and artificial lighting. Eco-friendly, non-toxic materials maintain a cohesive aesthetic while ensuring sustainability and the residents’ well-being.
