At the core of this home, lies a sprawling green courtyard, an oasis of tranquility that anchors the entire structure. This central space is not merely a visual centrepiece but a functional one, fostering a connection between the various living areas. The open-sided circulation walkway that encircles the courtyard allows for fluid movement throughout the house, reinforcing the concept of continuous space and openness.
One of the most captivating features of the Long Deck House is the expansive external entertainment deck. This structure spans the full width of the property and cantilevers dramatically over a lower pool area. The design gives the deck a floating appearance, an illusion further enhanced by the full-width reflecting pond beneath it. Its strategic positioning also ensures it remains a private yet open space, embodying the house’s ethos of blending indoor and outdoor living.
Around the courtyard, various quiet seating areas have been thoughtfully integrated into the design.
