Japanese Furniture Store NITORI Opens in BBCC
NITORI, the Japanese furniture retailer, has officially opened the first NITORI store in Southeast Asia on the 15th of January 2022, in Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport, Bukit Bintang City Centre, Kuala Lumpur. NITORI offers Japanese-quality furniture and home furnishings. The store provides new ideas to inspire you as well as home décor goods for your home: living room, dining room, bedroom, kitchen, and more. NITORI also launched the “N Sleep Shop” which is a specialty shop that focuses on providing customers with a more comfortable sleep. It offers private brand mattresses and pillows that design for better sleep, cool-to-the-touch beddings, and home diffusers to help you sleep better. Save the Date: Design Shanghai 2022
Celebrating its 9th year, the sold-out event Design Shanghai, Asia’s largest and leading international design event series returns to the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center from 9th-12th June 2022. The series, which now covers three key cultural and commercial hubs in China, is set to welcome exhibitors and visitors to Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen. The 2022 events will once again welcome over 70,000 professionals and visitors over four days. This edition, Design Shanghai will showcase more than 400 international brands from 30 countries and regions. The sold-out event will also introduce over 100 new exhibitors to the already stellar line-up of international and Chinese brands, alongside the world-renowned series of Forum talks from visionaries and innovators across the design and architecture sphere. Design China Beijing will follow on 21st-23rd September and reveals a new venue and new vision for 2022 which include China’s first Sustainability in Design Summit. As for Design Shenzhen, dates will be announced soon.

MIFF 2022 Rescheduled
The Malaysian International Furniture Fair (MIFF), the largest furniture trade show in Southeast Asia, will now take place on 6-9 July 2022 at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC) and World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL). In addition to an in-person exhibition experience, MIFF 2022 will also provide a digital exhibition solution – MIFF Furniverse – to reach a wider audience and continue to serve the sourcing needs of the global furniture community. At the same time, the exclusive Valued Visitor Programme (VVP) will continue to offer complimentary hotel stays to buyers who are interested in visiting the physical show. MIFF will be back as the largest marketplace for Malaysian furniture exporters, offering predominantly wooden and upholstery furniture for home and commercial use, as well as the widest range of office furniture in the region from Malaysian and international manufacturers. IJM Land Ushers in the Year of the Tiger By Spreading Good Fortune to Underprivileged Families
Emulating the spirit of the Tiger, leading developer of Seremban 2, IJM Land Berhad lends a helping hand to aid and impart courage to these families who have been struggling to make ends meet during this challenging time while giving them the opportunity of celebrating the festive season contentedly. Through one of their previous CSR initiatives, Bantuan Baucar Sara Hidup, IJM Land identified and approached five underprivileged families (especially those of single parentage and individuals who lost their jobs or struggling financially) to provide the much-needed monetary support and daily necessities that will help them in their preparation for the Chinese New Year season and also other necessary commitments such as utility bills and family necessities – providing them with the stepping stone to get back up on their feet to some semblance of financial recovery after the pandemic.
