Hansgrohe Special | Ergonomically designed, hansgrohe stainless steel kitchen sinks feature an impressive combination of design and function

At the sink, the hub of the kitchen, every move should be as easy as possible. The new hansgrohe sink units offer a choice of two innovative control concepts, making daily kitchen chores easier. The water control unit has been separated from the tap and placed at the front right-hand side of the sink rim. This offers all users, regardless of age, height, and even physical disability, added convenience.

The new hansgrohe Metris Select two-hole kitchen mixer has a central control unit on the front right-hand side of the rim of the sink. This ergonomically shaped lever handle can be switched or turned to select precise temperature and water volume. These settings remain constant throughout the day. Water flow from the mixer can be turned on or off by simply pressing the Select button strategically positioned on the high spout. This allows users to operate the mixer from the front and ensures an ergonomic workflow.

The Select technology can also be incorporated directly into the sink itself. A large elegant button on the right sink rim turns water flow from the multi-jet kitchen mixer on and off. The clever button also opens and closes the drain so that no other control is required in or around the sink, or detracts from its visual appeal. Both models allow you to control the flow of water using the back of your hand or elbow; for instance, when you are holding a pot with both hands or your hands are dirty. No electricity or extra devices are required in the base cabinet; the technology behind the Select button is purely mechanical.

The new hansgrohe built-in kitchen sink combinations feature a harmonious ensemble of form and function, providing complete solutions for the modern kitchen with matching faucets, an intuitive control system and sophisticated technical components to make daily chores that much easier.

Seamless Style: Hansgrohe Metris Kitchen Mixers

Rinsing, chopping, browning, cooking, baking, tossing, tasting, seasoning – working in the kitchen involves many different chores and can be lots of fun, especially when our kitchen tools and facilities are convenient and easy to work with. Time and again we find ourselves going back to the kitchen’s water source, maybe to fill up a pot or to rinse some vegetables or to wash our floury hands after baking. But how is it possible to turn the mixer on and off while carrying a heavy pot? Whenever baking or cooking, do you also find yourself needing to clean the tap that you’ve been using with your dirty hands?

Mixer specialist Hansgrohe has introduced unprecedented freedom of movement to the kitchen in the form of its Metris Select kitchen mixer. Its Select button means that the water can be turned on and off even while you’re on the go, without impeding the flow of work. This proves that fun and convenience can indeed go hand in hand, even when tackling kitchen chores.

With Metris Select, you can also turn on the water flow at the handle and set the required temperature and water amount.

Pushing All the Right Buttons in the Kitchen

As with conventional single lever mixers, with Metris Select you also turn on the water flow at the handle and set the required temperature and water amount. However, the user can subsequently terminate the flow of water on and off via the Select button which is located on the front of the spout. The lever handle remains open, with the water volume and water temperature preset. The fact that the button is large, with a very legible on/off symbol, means that you can also turn the water jet on and off using the back of your hand or your elbow. And you do not need electricity or any extra equipment in your floor unit to be able to enjoy this added convenience. The technology behind Select is purely mechanical. A newly developed shut-off valve closes and opens the water flow at the touch of a button.

The clever kitchen aide is also extremely attractive: the SoftCube design of the Metris Select mixer works well with lots of kitchen styles and blends in with the rectangular shape of many modern sinks. A flat, long, ergonomic handle offers hands and fingers a large contact surface, making it easy to turn the mixer on and off and to set the required temperature with precision. The lavish ComfortZone offers plenty of space under the mixer, which makes it easy to fill up tall containers, for example. For even greater freedom of movement, the spout can be swivelled by 150 degrees. Its Select button means that the water can be turned on and off even while you’re on the go, without impeding the flow of work.
