Performance car engineering is making its way into the world of esports furniture.
Gaming chair specialist Secretlab has teamed up with the development team behind McLaren’s W1 hypercar to unveil the Secretlab McLaren MonoCell Edition, a limited-edition gaming chair priced at US$1,999.
Limited to just 100 units worldwide, each chair features an individually numbered metal plaque on the rear shell, reinforcing its positioning as a collector-grade object rather than a mass-market gaming accessory. Orders open on 15 December at 8am Pacific Time, with no cancellations or returns permitted.

The design draws directly from McLaren’s automotive DNA. The chair’s outer shell is made from genuine carbon fibre, sculpted into a smooth, teardrop-inspired form that echoes the aerodynamic language of McLaren supercars. The seat is upholstered in Dinamica microfibre suede, chosen to replicate the tactile feel of McLaren’s driver-focused interiors.
Structurally, the chair combines cold-cure foam with a contoured “pebble seat base”, engineered to distribute weight evenly during extended sitting sessions. It also incorporates Secretlab’s four-way L-ADAPT lumbar support system, designed to improve spinal alignment and reduce fatigue during long gaming or work hours.

For those unable to secure the MonoCell Edition, the collaboration also includes a more accessible TITAN Evo McLaren Edition, which features carbon-fibre-inspired detailing applied to leatherette upholstery. This version starts at US$799 and remains closer to Secretlab’s standard production range.

By translating McLaren’s lightweight construction philosophy and ergonomic research into a gaming chair format, the collaboration signals a growing crossover between high-performance automotive design and premium gaming furniture — where materials, branding and engineering converge.
