For this spacious two-storey residence, the talented team at Apieceofart set out to transform the home into a haven of comfort and sophistication, perfectly tailored to the client’s personality and lifestyle. The design approach centred around optimising the use of natural light, a key element that was harnessed through the strategic placement of large windows, folding doors, and skylights. This not only created a bright and airy atmosphere but also enhanced the overall sense of spaciousness.
The designers opted for a neutral colour palette, featuring whites, greys, and beiges, which established a serene and harmonious backdrop. This choice allowed for the subtle introduction of vibrant pops of colour through carefully selected artwork and accessories, adding character without overwhelming the space.
“By utilising a neutral palette of whites, greys, and beiges, we were able to create a sense of harmony with pops of colour from artwork and accessories,” the design team explains.
Incorporating natural elements was another fruitful aspect of the design. The use of wood, plants, and stone infused the home with warmth and texture, further enhancing the inviting ambience.
“It was also essential to incorporate some natural elements like wood, plants and stone to add warmth and texture, resulting in a stunning and inviting home that they can enjoy for years to come,” the designers remark.
