What is A’Design Award All About?
A’ Design Award & Competition is the world’s leading international annual juried competition for design. The A’ Design Accolades are organised in a wide range of creative fields to highlight the very best designers from all countries in all disciplines. A’ Design Award & Competition offers fame, prestige, publicity, and international recognition to all A’ Design Award Winners through the A’ Design Prize which is given to celebrate the awarded designs.Every year, projects that focus on innovation, technology, design and creativity are awarded with the A’ Design Award.
Designers worldwide are called to take part in the accolades by entering their best works, projects and products.Entries are accepted annually until February 28th and results are announced every year on April 15. Deadline for regular submissions for this year is September 30 2021. Entries are accepted as long as they were designed in the last 10 years.
Large Number of Categories
The award spans across 100 design award categories, including (but not limited to) Architecture, Building and Structure Design; Interior Space and Exhibition Design; Building Materials, Construction Components, Structures & Systems; Landscape Planning and Garden Design; Urban Planning and Urban Design; and Engineering, Construction, and Infrastructure Design. Other broader categories such as Good Industrial Design, Good Architecture Design, or Good Product Design are also available for nominations.
The Coveted A’Design Prize
The A’ Design Prize is a comprehensive winners’ kit for awarded designs. “A’ Design Prize” includes but not limited to: international design excellence certificate in metal frame, invitation to the exclusive gala-night in Italy, online + offline exhibition of awarded projects, A2 poster of awarded projects, hardcover printed best projects’ yearbook publication, special 3d printed metal award trophy in luxury black box, project translation to 20+ languages in order to truly reach international audiences, an exclusive interview with the winner, press release preparation and distribution, license to use “A’ Design Award Winner Logo” in your communication, promotion of awarded works to thousands of other publications, media appearances through our press partners, inclusion in World Design Rankings as well as access to further marketing and PR tools. Grand Jury Panel
The foundation of any good design award, in addition to fair evaluation and judging by an extensive methodology, is to have a strong and expert design competition jury which provides their invaluable knowledge base and insight to evaluate the submitted entries, creating benefit and value for participants by transferring their insights and ideas in form of votes, feedbacks and suggestions. Good design award jury panels shall be multidisciplinary and comprised of recognized but most importantly experienced international designers, professors, entrepreneurs, journalists and publishers who can truly validate and evaluate design using their wisdom, experience, specialization and technical knowledge. For 2020 – 2021 there are 211 Jury Members forming the International Design Academy – The Grand A’ Design Award Jury Panel, composed of design professionals, press members and academics.
