For ten years, the Materials & Light expo has illuminated the architectural landscape with its innovative solutions. Organized by d’a magazine, in partnership with Séquences Bois, Muuuz, and Traits Urbains, Materials & Light offers a unique space for discovery, exchange, and inspiration.
In September 2024, Materials & Light celebrated its 10th anniversary, marking ten years of adapting and anticipating trends in architecture and lighting. Once again, the CENTQUATRE-PARIS hosted the event on September 9 and 10 in its stunning industrial-style hall.
Targeting architects, landscape designers, interior architects, decorators, and designers, Materials & Light is a meeting point between art and technique, where the beauty of materials meets the latest technological advancements and environmental ambitions.
For its 10th edition, the CENTQUATRE-PARIS presented an exciting showcase of materials and light through expert-led conferences, including the “Anthropocene Architecture” series, hands-on workshops, training sessions, award ceremonies, two festive evenings, and an exhibition that transforms the venue into a temporary showroom. The event also marked another milestone: the 30th anniversary of Séquences Bois magazine, which has been promoting responsible and innovative construction for three decades.
The scenographic concept, initially designed by Violette Cros, is now executed by interior architect Kelly Pesah, an expert in event scenography and retail design, primarily working in the luxury sector. The inspiring setup reinforces the event’s position between a showroom and an artistic exhibition.
