From VHS to VCD and DVD, we now have Blu-ray. Discover what sets Blu-ray apart from its predecessors.
Back in the days, we watched movies on VCR players before moving on to VCD and DVD players but as of late, the trend seems to have moved on to Blu-ray. Some may wonder what the difference between DVD and Blu-ray is as the players look the same, the discs look the same, and even the disc menus are similar. Well, Blu-ray offers better image quality, better sound quality, and more special features due to the larger storage capacity. We can store up to 50GB of information on a single Blu-ray Disc, compared with DVDs, which can hold about 8GB.
Pioneer’s line-up of Blu-ray Disc™ players comes in a wide range, from the premium 3D model featuring robust construction and select parts for superior performance, to the space-saving slim and compact model. The network players feature enhanced integration with smartphones and tablets, letting you easily stream videos from your device to the TV to share with others.
In addition to watching movies, you can playback various file formats on the DVD players, or enjoy singing sessions with the karaoke models. The multiple features of the players will keep you entertained for hours on end.
