Minimalism Evolved: Stellar Works Debuts the latest expansion of the Taylor series

by creativehomex

In early summer 2025, Stellar Works expands its signature Taylor Collection. Originally launched in 2019 by Yabu Pushelberg with a suite of “Extension” seating that speaks a minimalist language across diverse hospitality and residential contexts. Grounded in the original’s streamlined wood-and-upholstery grammar, the new pieces introduce compact swivel chairs, modular left/right sofas, and sweeping curved sofas that adapt to both intimate and grand layouts.

Modernism Refined

Since its launch, the Taylor line has embodied a pure modernist ethos: a sculptural wooden frame supporting clean, ergonomic upholstery. The Extension Series builds on this language, introducing new silhouettes that retain the original’s streamlined clarity while offering greater flexibility.

What’s New in the Series

  • Compact & Swivel Chairs: Two scaled-down single-seat options—including a 360° swivel model—perfect for tight corners or private nooks.

  • Modular Left/Right Sofas: Mirrored sofa modules that pair or stand alone, empowering bespoke layouts that break free from full-symmetry conventions.

  • Curved & Half-Back Sofas: A softly curved sofa serves as a gentle room divider or communal lounge piece, while half-back variants reduce visual mass for more open sightlines.

Yabu Pushelberg’s Growth Mindset

Yabu Pushelberg’s design philosophy—“reshaping the essence of space”—drives the Extension Series’ modular logic. What began as standalone armchairs naturally evolves into a cohesive sofa system, adapting seamlessly from intimate residences to grand hospitality settings.

Harmony in Duality

Taylor’s minimalist frame and neutral upholstery refuse confinement to any single style. Whether anchoring a sleek city loft, lending warmth to a luxury resort, or refreshing a heritage interior, the series speaks a universal language of restraint and refinement. The Extension pieces amplify this versatility: mirrored modules play with asymmetry, curved forms foster conviviality, and half-back profiles maintain openness in compact layouts.
