The Malaysian International Furniture Fair (MIFF) 2025 concluded with strong momentum, registering on-site sales of USD 1.31 billion — a 3% increase from the previous year. Held from 1–4 March at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC) and World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL), the fair reaffirmed its role as a premier international sourcing event for the global furniture industry.

This year’s edition featured 742 exhibitors, up 3.8% year-on-year, with participants from across Malaysia, Southeast Asia, East Asia, the Middle East, and the United States. Among the key draws was Southeast Asia’s largest office furniture showroom, alongside a comprehensive display of Malaysian wooden furniture — further strengthening the country’s reputation as a leading exporter in the sector.
MIFF 2025 attracted 19,556 trade visitors from 120 countries and regions, including 5,606 international buyers — a 3.4% rise from 2024. The top buyer markets included the United States, China, India, Japan, and Singapore, with notable growth from Canada, Mexico, Türkiye, and key Asian countries. This diverse attendance highlighted MIFF’s expanding global footprint and its continued relevance in a shifting global market.

“The growth in exhibitor numbers and the strong turnout from both local and international buyers affirm MIFF’s reputation as a key player in the global furniture market,” said Kelie Lim, General Manager of MIFF. “This year’s results highlight MIFF’s continuing importance as a dynamic marketplace where global furniture professionals meet, connect, and drive growth.”
Sustainability took centre stage at this year’s fair. The enhanced MIFF Furniverse 2.0 digital platform transformed the exhibition experience by reducing paper usage and increasing efficiency. Features such as interactive floor plans, intelligent lead retrieval systems, and AI-driven matchmaking helped connect buyers with the most relevant suppliers, streamlining sourcing and strengthening business connections.

Exhibitors reported a positive response from both returning and new markets. Long-time participant Chuanheng Furniture launched eco-conscious designs aimed at younger demographics, while Winner Office Network reported strong demand from buyers in the US, India, the Philippines, and Africa. First-time attendees were equally impressed, citing the fair’s scale, product variety, and networking potential.
Looking ahead, MIFF 2026 is scheduled for 4–7 March 2026 at the same venues. With a proven track record in connecting global buyers to Asia’s top manufacturers, the fair promises an even more dynamic and forward-looking platform in the coming year.
