Get ready for the 30th anniversary of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles, Asia’s premier home textiles trade fair, opening its doors next week at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from 14-16 August 2024. With over 900 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, this Autumn Edition is set to be an essential event for industry professionals looking to build strong business partnerships and gain valuable market insights.

A Comprehensive Sourcing Platform

Spanning 100,000 sqm across Halls 5.1, 5.2, 6.1, and 6.2, this year’s fair will showcase a full spectrum of home and contract textiles. To help streamline sourcing, 14 product zones will highlight key industry segments. These include:

Other zones will focus on accessories, textile design, intelligent equipment, loungewear & bath, sun protection, table and kitchen linen, trade publications, and whole home products.

A Central Hub for Home Textiles

This year’s fair features exhibitors from 15 countries and regions across Asia, Europe, and North America. Notable international participants include Advansa Marketing GmbH (Germany), Elastron Group (Portugal), Mobus (UK), and Morgan (USA). The fair also introduces a new Uzbekistan Pavilion and sees the return of the Türkiye Pavilion and Belgium Zone. Key exhibitors in these areas include:

  • Türkiye Pavilion: Organised by Uludag Textile Exporters’ Association (UTIB), featuring Aleran Tekstil (Bona Home), Kucukcalik Tekstil, and Weavers Tekstil.
  • Belgium Zone: Featuring well-known exhibitors such as CTF2000 and Love Home Fabrics.
  • Uzbekistan Pavilion: Organised by Trade Development Company JSC, including suppliers like Great Kokand and Sam Rafoat Tekstil.

With the fair’s strong reputation and impressive exhibitor lineup, buyers from 75 countries and regions have already pre-registered. Furthermore, 11 buyer delegations from 15 countries, including India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Morocco, Myanmar, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Spain, Thailand, Vietnam and more will augment the premier platform’s diversity, and provide invaluable connections for building global business partnerships.

Engaging Fringe Events

Besides the product showcases, this year’s fringe programme features four major themes shaping the industry’s future:

  1. Design Inspiration: Explore the upcoming Trends 2025 ‘Healing Home’ concept in Hall 6.1, with a guided tour by the trend designer and a panel discussion titled “About Healing” on Day 1. Additional events include the 30th China Home Textiles Design Festival, China Intangible Cultural Heritage of Textile Exhibition, and seminars on sustainable design by You Zhou and Pallavi Dean.
  2. Business O2O: Highlighted by the seminar “Unlocking Opportunities: Successful Business Strategies for the Middle Eastern Design Market” by Esra Lemmens, and the 10th Home Textiles and Furniture Industry Ecological Integration Forum.
  3. Industry Empowerment: Join the “Bridging Borders: A Designer x Producer Talk on Sustainability” roundtable discussion on Day 2, bringing together designers and manufacturers from East and West.
  4. Textiles & Technologies: Under the Econogy Talks umbrella, the Sustainable Fibre Forum will showcase eco-friendly innovations from 3M, Advansa, and Indorama. Learn about Messe Frankfurt’s Texpertise Econogy programme on Day 2.

Additionally, the 7th China International Fibre Art Exhibition in Hall 5.1 will feature artistic textile creations.
