Music and Water: WaterTunes by Hansgrohe
In mid-May 2021, the Hansgrohe Group got off to an upbeat start with its 120th-anniversary communications and the release of WaterTunes by Hansgrohe. The electro-pop album was composed with water disturbance sounds that are filtered out of shower and faucet prototypes by sound experts from the Hansgrohe Spray and Sound Lab. Under the claim “Setting the Beat of Water. Since 1901.” the faucet and shower manufacturer’s communications campaign highlights its leading role in innovation, design and quality in the bathroom and kitchen industry.

Abundant Style: Doppio Coffee Table by Wael Farran Studio
A multiplier signifying double in Italian, Doppio is all about the abundance around us that we take for granted because it was always there and in plenty. This coffee table set is a reminder to appreciate and embrace this abundance. The unique base begins with flattened steel feet that twist and go up, come together, then separate into a veneer wooden round top. The design reminds us to take another look at what we have, embrace it and use it, instead of looking for the same thing in a different form.

Virtual Design Insights: KODW 2021
Over 50 global entrepreneurs and industry experts were tapped to inspire audiences during Knowledge of Design Week (KODW) 2021, which concluded with ten panel discussions held live on 23 and 24 June 2021, as well as eight virtual and in-person workshops throughout the week-long event.
