by creativehomex

The Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) and the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), are set to illuminate the global stage with a showcase of brilliance, creativity and smart design.

From 27 to 31 October 2025, the city will transform into a glowing hub for lighting professionals, designers and enthusiasts, drawing visionaries from around the world. The Autumn Lighting Fair, hosted at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, and its sister event, the Outdoor and Tech Light Expo at AsiaWorld-Expo, together form a dynamic twin exhibition under the theme “Illuminated Designs for a Smarter Future.”

This year’s events promise to be among the most impressive yet, featuring 3,000 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions — from Europe to the Americas, and across Asia-Pacific. Attendees can expect everything from high-end architectural luminaires and artistic installations to next-generation smart lighting systems that redefine how we live, work and interact with light.

The Highlights
Among the key highlights is the Hall of Connected Lighting, where around 70 leading brands will converge to present their most advanced IoT-enabled innovations. Expect to see global names such as Signify, Casambi, LEDiL, Moorgen, Koizumi and GRE Alpha introducing cutting-edge smart lighting systems that merge energy efficiency, connectivity and design sophistication.

Meanwhile, at the Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, lighting technology steps out into the open. Visitors can explore zones dedicated to smart city infrastructure, public and industrial lighting, horticultural lighting, and more — including the much-anticipated Smart Pole and Solution Zone, which spotlights the role of lighting in data-driven, sustainable urban ecosystems.

For design aficionados, the Hall of Aurora continues to be a must-see. It gathers over 500 of the world’s most prestigious lighting brands, offering an inspiring display of creativity and craftsmanship — from hand-blown artisanal pieces to cutting-edge LED innovations.

Here are 10 must-visit lighting showcases at the fairs.

Architectural Marvels
In addition to the trade showcases, the fairs will also feature lighting solutions used in some of the world’s most iconic projects — including Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, BBC Headquarters in London, the Sanxingdui Museum in Sichuan, and Hong Kong’s own M+ Museum — each serving as a testament to the artistry and engineering behind contemporary illumination.
