The International Furniture Fair Singapore (IFFS), touted as the region’s most anticipated furniture trade event, is scheduled to take place from 13 to 16 March 2014, along with The Décor Show and Hospitality 360°, promising visitors a sensory journey in the field of design, furniture and furnishings.

IFFS is the ideal platform for businesses to engage trade buyers looking for the best in innovative and inspired design and high-quality furniture, interiors and fittings. This edition continues the strong tradition of attracting top-notch brands from around the world, many of whom are returning exhibitors who previously enjoyed successful campaigns at earlier editions of this tradeshow. Some of these returning exhibitors include: Andrew Martin (United Kingdom), Bellagio Asia (The Netherlands), Country Corner (Hong Kong), Carezza (Hong Kong), D-Bodhi (Singapore), Deesawat Industries (Thailand); just to name a few. The strong influx of international brands, a 20% increase from the 2013 edition, has given rise to the formation of Country Pavilions, bolstered by strong contingents from countries in the region and beyond – with France, Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam and United States of America–represented by more than 100 exhibitors.

Organised by the International Furniture Fair Singapore Pte Ltd, IFFS 2014 will introduce a new business opportunity and matching initiative to facilitate the strategic business-buyer pairing process. The New Buyer Programme is designed with first-time trade buyers in mind, as it looks to work with the burgeoning Asian hospitality industry which has displayed a vociferous appetite for impeccably designed, quality furniture and furnishings. Open to registration online, this initiative will match up to 100 prospective buyers and decision makers with businesses that are equipped to offer a suite of furniture, furnishing and hospitality solutions in an exclusive business setting provided at IFFS 2014.

Making a returning appearance at the exhibition will be the third instalment of SingaPlural 2014, a collection of design showcases from a myriad of creative fields including Architecture, Interior, Furniture and Fashion Design, held at various city spots in Singapore. SingaPlural – Celebrating Design 2014 is also the anchor event of Singapore Design Week (SDW), which is presented by the DesignSingapore Council, under the Ministry of Communications and Information. The installation of SingaPlural at IFFS 2014 includes The Green Pavilion, one of three thematic showcases, featuring a lush garden environment located within an intricately designed, sustainable cardboard shell setting, allowing visitors to enjoy a respite from the hustle and bustle of the trade fair whilst serving a timely reminder for the growing need for sustainable practices in businesses today.
