Dominated by a luscious white palette, textures and luxurious details work hand-in-hand to produce an opulent effect in this home.
A classic ambience is prevalent in this modern-meets-elegance home designed by GI Design Sdn Bhd. In the living room, white panels infuse a classic appeal while acting as a supporting backdrop for other tones and elements to flourish. White built-in shelving flawlessly merges with the TV console and complements the clean ceiling overhead. The designers selected creamy white upholstery for the sofa but went for bright red armchairs to put in a pop of colour to the room. To visually expand the sense of space in this living area, a large mirror is affixed on the side wall, giving the room a touch of reflective glam at the same time.
From the living room, the space flows towards the dining area and dry kitchen. A round table with white surface is accompanied by six chairs upholstered in grey. Overhead, a chandelier comprising small lampshades brightens the area, while keeping the modern classic look cohesive. Next to the dining, the dry kitchen is spatially segregated using a dark grey partition which has been custom-made into an open shelving system that combines with the breakfast counter. The cabinetry in this kitchen follows the same dark grey finishing to match with the dining area. From here, a door leads to the wet kitchen which features white cabinets with a hob and hood neatly placed to the side. Ample natural light streams into the space through the large windows next to the sink, creating a comfortable place to cook and clean in.
Throughout this home, the classic lines and panelled walls are consistently incorporated. For instance, this approach is strategically applied to the hallways and stairway. In fact, the home office also features a built-in cupboard and desk with similar white panelled surfaces.
In the master bedroom, the panelled details become a prominent element, generously employed as the feature wall to bring out the upholstered headboard. A pair of classic-looking sconces makes the perfect finishing touch to this very cosy room. The off-white panels continue towards the side wall where door to the walk-in wardrobe is. Inside, the space comes complete with well-coordinated wardrobe spaces and a sleek vanity area with backlit mirror.
The other two bedrooms are kept simple yet warm and inviting, accentuated by chic wallcoverings. For example, one of the bedrooms is adorned with floral wallpaper while another is decked in yellow stripes to create a playful tone.
