Kartell X Philippe Starck: New Product Preview
01. NEW PRINCE OHOH Stool
A “brother” to the Prince AHA Stool from a decade ago, this piece embodies the classic spirit with a sculptural geometric form that doubles as both a table and a stool. One flat side serves as a tabletop while the opposite curved side forms a stool, and a clever folding design even offers storage—delivering a versatile solution for modern living with limited space.
02. NEW CAMOMILLE Battery Lamp
Drawing inspiration from the humble teapot, Starck redefines the concept of lighting. In this design, you don’t pour tea, you pour light. The lamp transforms the familiar act of pouring into an artistic expression, infusing home spaces with a playful yet sophisticated glow.
03. NEW A.I. LITE Chair
The standout feature of this chair is its extraordinary lightness and futuristic vibe. By integrating AI technology into its design, Starck has created an armless, lightweight chair that minimizes material usage and energy consumption. As the world’s first product completely designed and produced by AI, the A.I. LITE Chair exemplifies the cutting edge of design technology and hints at a bold future for home furnishings.
04. NEW BONHEUR DU JOUR Armchair
This fully upholstered lounge armchair is accentuated by delicate stitching that outlines a layered silhouette. With smooth curves and a supportive structure, its generously padded seat and back gently embrace the body, inviting you to rediscover a long-missed sense of ease and comfort after a busy day.

Q: What are the core principles you keep in mind when designing something new for the brand?
A: “First, I am mentally sick. I have a heavy sickness, an overflow of creativity. My mind is constantly brimming with ideas. Moreover, working with Kartell is a natural choice because they are a high-tech company that transforms ideals into premium, eco-friendly, and affordable products. I believe design should not only be beautiful and well-crafted, but also accessible and environmentally conscious. That’s the creed I follow.”
Q: Kartell is renowned for redefining everyday objects with high design. How do you continually find fresh inspiration for this ongoing transformation?
A: “For me, inspiration is pure instinct. Seeing people around me striving for a better life naturally leads me to ponder how to improve their daily experiences with quality design at a reasonable price ensuring that great design remains within everyone’s reach.”
Q: Your latest design for Kartell embodies simplicity, yet make a strong visual impact. How do you define the emotion behind your minimalist piece for Kartell?
A: “You only need to have a heart that feels, to live a life full of emotion. Every design should capture that sentiment. Each piece must convey warmth, humor, and elegance—becoming not just an object, but an artistic expression that connects with people on an emotional level.”
Philippe Starck’s work transcends mere aesthetics; it forges a deep emotional connection between people and objects. His unconventional, emotionally rich, and minimalist approach reveals the boundless potential of modern home living. As technology and art continue to merge, we eagerly anticipate more innovations that are both visionary and attuned to everyday life, further enriching our collective imagination of a beautiful, dynamic existence.
