Since its inception, SIDA (Singapore Interior Design Awards) has established itself as one of the Asia-Pacific region’s most rigorous benchmarks for interior architecture and spatial design. Marking its 10th anniversary, SIDA 2026 arrives at a pivotal moment for the industry, seeking to honour projects, practices, and individuals whose work addresses contemporary social, ecological, and cultural challenges through design.
The platform is open to international designers, interior architects, and students, providing a global stage to showcase how thoughtful interior interventions can meaningfully elevate human experience.
Three distinct streams of competition
To ensure a comprehensive evaluation of contemporary design, submissions are divided into three core categories:
Completed: Realised built projects executed by industry professionals, demonstrating execution excellence and real-world performance.
Concept: Unbuilt, speculative, or theoretical proposals by industry professionals that push the boundaries of spatial imagination.
Youth: Academic projects authored by interior design and architecture students globally, highlighting the next generation’s radical ideas.
A rigorous peer-review framework
Submissions will be evaluated by an esteemed international jury panel across four fundamental criteria, balancing aesthetic rigour with functional intelligence:
Design Impact: The measurable, positive transformation the interior creates for its end-users and community.
Creativity: The originality of the core spatial concept and its capacity to enhance human well-being.
Spatial Usage: The strategic intelligence of the floor plan, layout, and programming in addressing complex functional requirements.
Aesthetics: The clarity of the design intent and the visual refinement achieved from initial concept to material execution.
