Resolutely anti-conformist, Parisian interior design firm, Rouge Absolut realises exceptional creations signed in colours.
—
Under the artistic direction of outstanding colourist and interior and furniture designer Géraldine Prieur, Rouge Absolu design studio fluently marries lines, volumes, materials and colours to portray spaces in a fresh and vibrant light.
Established in 2012 by Prieur, Rouge Absolut is a studio of interior and furniture design that conceives new languages of seduction, asserting its style of ‘Unconventional Full Colours’ across the totality of the projects it signs in France and internationally. The studio’s creative energy is effervescent, metamorphosing assignments in style and arrangement with a rich aesthetic alchemy.
For more than twenty years, Géraldine Prieur has been arranging spaces for a demanding clientele. She has also published a book with Editions Eyrolles, “Intériurs de Style” in which she revealed her projects: apartments, residences, boutiques and hotels in Paris, London and Manhattan.
Those won over by her “Unconventional Full Colours” style call upon Géraldine Prieur’s talent to define sophisticated and rare spaces. Born of a contemporary reinterpretation of the Decorative Arts, the furniture imagined by Géraldine Prieur presents original volumes and flamboyant colours.
By combining the nobility of leather with the strength of wood and the splendour of lacquer, she creates a perfect union of luxury and artistry. Energised, gallant and feminine, each piece presents a rare design, breathing new life into the world of decoration.
In a constant search for the original and the unexpected, the Rouge Absolu collection is completed by the Sonho collection of fabrics and wallpapers. The latter takes you on a trip to the beating heart of Brazil, a symbol of where the Carioca beaches, architects’ utopias, the villages of myriad colours, the whirling carnivals and the luxuriance of the primitive forest all meet.
Traditionally hand-crafted by the “Manufacture Henryot et Cie”, listed as an “Enterprise du Patrimoine Vivant,” as many as seventeen different trades and techniques come together to realise these creations in total respect for the values of artistic joinery. Each piece is stamped and numbered. The collection is a product of exceptional French craftmanship, contributing to the preservation of a cultural heritage while fulfilling the needs of a luxury product.
More than just a proprietary brand dedicated to the outstanding and the unique, Rouge Absolu augments its repertoire by publishing an original catalogue collection of furniture, fabrics and wallpapers calling upon the skills of French craftsmen. Rouge Absolu also contributes financially to the Helen Keller International Association, offering a world of hope and colours to women and children stricken by blindness.
