In the sloped landscape of Kekliktepe, Urla, S House in Turkey has been transformed from a modest structure into a refined architectural statement. Tasked to Ofisvesaire, the project reinterpreted the original framework, reworking the structural system to reorganise the layout and massing. A new composite structure of reinforced concrete and refined architectural elements redefined the home’s character. One of the most distinctive additions is a pergola with a flexible glass façade, promoting a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
The entrance, marked by the warm pairing of wood and marble, creates a calm threshold leading into the heart of the home. Open corridors guide movement toward living areas, where the main lounge, dining area, and kitchen form a cohesive, inviting core. Semi-transparent sliding doors extend this central space outwards, opening up to the terrace and garden, creating a dialogue between interior layers and nature.
This spatial openness is reinforced by movable facades, walls, and niches that provide functional flexibility and control over privacy. A curated art display at the corridor’s end offers a visual anchor, enhancing the home’s rhythmic flow. The master suite, two guest rooms, hobby room, and service areas are thoughtfully arranged to ensure comfort and utility.
Outdoor elements like the pool house, gym, and parking are integrated into the natural topography, with landscaping enhancing the sensory experience. Using materials such as wood, steel, and stone, S House harmonises with its environment. Sunlight plays a poetic role—especially in the master bathroom, where shifting light animates the space with quiet elegance.
