Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant is back, in search for the 3 winners to be crowned with; Miss Malaysia Tourism 2016/17, Miss Malaysia Tourism Queen of the Year 2016/17 and, Miss Malaysia Tourism Metropolitan 2016/17.
Across the 13-day event, held from 18th – 31st August 2016, the top 16 finalist from 9 States will battle it out for the prestigious titles. The unique contest incorporating three Miss Malaysia Tourism titles in one event will then represent Malaysia in their respective Miss Tourism International Pageant World Finals, which will be held later this year. The winners will thereby act as the country’s ambassadresses and assist in the promotion of tourism to other overseas delegates.
This 3-in-1 pageant is indeed one of the most prestigious beauty contests held in Malaysia. Since its inception in 1995, the pageant has produced more than 100 Miss Malaysia of various titles. The aim of the title Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant is served as a platform to promote Tourism, Culture and friendship.
Prior to the National Final Night, where the coronation will take place, the Top 16 will take part in numerous promotional and charitable activities, promoting tourism, culture and friendship. With this year’s theme of, “Miss Malaysia Tourism…Because We Care”, the finalist will have to perform with a caring heart, showing affection and their nurturing side throughout the competition. The final night of the coronation will take place on Tuesday 30th August 2016, at BERJAYA Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. *At the time of publishing, the winners had not yet been announced*
This year the eligible Finalists that meet the entry requirements are given each a full scholarship from Asia Metropolitan University worth RM40,000.00 that suits this year’s Charity Campaign, “Miss Malaysia Tourism…Because We Care : Gift of Knowledge”. The top 3 winners will also receive Cash Prizes and Sponsored Gifts valued at more than RM50,000.
