With awards honouring the winners of REKA Awards Design Excellence, the MIID Annual Ball celebrated the best of design in a recent event held in October.

The MIID Annual Ball, held in the third quarter of each year, is a fraternal gathering to acknowledge the Interior Design professionals and their industry partners. Held at Sime Darby Convention Centre in October this year, the event was attended by supportive and enthusiastic guests comprising MIID members, architects, industry partners, academicians and students.
As it is carried out each year, the MIID Annual Ball is also an occasion to give out awards for the winners of the REKA Awards Design Excellence and also the Homedec Awards. This year the awards, titled the MIID Nippon Paint REKA Awards Design Excellence were given out to winners of the design competition which ran from 19th September until 3rd October 2014. Over 100 entries were received for various categories by MIID members, showcasing the best of interior spaces
in Malaysia.
At this event, attendees of MIID Annual Ball 2014 also witnessed the presentation of certificates to recipients of pilot projects under GBI Interiors. The Green Building Index Interior Tools is a collaboration of Green Building Index (GBI) with Malaysian Green Building Confederation (MGBC) and Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID).
