Bigger and Better: Samsung QLED 8K TV
Samsung Malaysia Electronics has unveiled its 98” QLED 8K TV – its largest yet – adding to its 2019 TV lineup. The new Samsung QLED 8K TVs come equipped with Samsung’s propriety Quantum Processor, an AI-powered picture and sound processing semiconductor technology which enables a significantly improved entertainment experience.

FWD Group Celebrates Official Opening of House 1881
FWD Group (“FWD”) in Hong Kong celebrated the grand opening of House 1881 today with an official ceremony, marking a new chapter for one of Hong Kong’s most iconic heritage destinations. As part of the site’s extensive revitalisation, the former Marine Police Headquarters in Tsim Sha Tsui has been transformed into a cultural hub for celebrations, family gatherings and community activities comprising five dining concepts and a newly-renovated boutique hotel.

Holding Up a Mirror, Malaysia’s Inaugural National Pavilion at the Venice Biennale
Opened on 9 May 2019, and on view to the public from 11 May to 24 November 2019 at the Palazzo Malipiero, this exhibition presents the work of four Malaysian artists – Anurendra Jegadeva, H.H. Lim, Ivan Lam and Zulkifli Yusoff. The exhibition not only marks the country’s first ever national pavilion but also the one year anniversary of the 2018 Malaysian elections which ushered in a new era of national identity.

MTD Group Unveils Exclusive Residences by Studio Ashby
MTD Group, a Malaysian infrastructure conglomerate and owner of major new mixed-use development One Crown Place in Central London, has unveiled Studio Ashby’s designs for the interiors of nine exclusive apartments, designed by architects Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF). The ‘Sophie Ashby Collection’ residences – a combination of one, three bedroom and three bedroom duplexes – are inspired by the City of London’s historic past and the interiors combine modern luxury with handcrafted tradition.

Origami Inspirations: nendo’s Katachi Collection for Longchamp
nendo has recently released the Katachi Collection, a collection of handbags designed for the French luxury leather goods brand Longchamp. The brand’s iconic ”Le Pliage” bag collection was inspired by Japanese origami and is famous for its light structure and compact foldable shape. The design of the new collection originated from the same basic concept and introduces three new shapes of a cube, a cone and a flat circle.
