The Foshan Household Essentials Exhibition Centre (FHEEC) is set to become Southeast Asia’s one-stop centre for the purchase and supply of home building materials and services.

Born out of a concept originating from the prefecture-level city of Foshan, China, the city where over half of the world’s home appliances are made, the highly-anticipated Foshan Household Essentials Exhibition Centre (FHEEC) was officially launched with a ribbon cutting and a traditional opening ceremony held on 30th January, 2018. Located on Lorong Technology C in the industrial quarter of Kota Damansara known as Taman Sains Selangor 1 in PJU 5, the FHEEC is set to be the first one-stop centre for home building materials in Southeast Asia, and the fourth to be opened in the world after Iran, Hungary, and Australia.

The launch of the FHEEC is a result of increasing economic ties between China and Malaysia, which is the result of China’s ‘One Road, One Belt’ foreign policy implemented in recent years. The Ministry of International Trade and Industry Malaysia reported that between January to October 2017, bilateral trade between China and Malaysia amounted to RM237.96 billion, making China one of Malaysia’s largest trading partners.

“Foshan Household Essentials has been a crucial partner for numerous developers in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. The company has become an important support and driver of growth in the market. Malaysia is a strong and stable market and with the existing strong ties between the two countries, Malaysia is a natural choice as the base of Foshan Household Essentials’ expansion into Southeast Asia. Foshan Household Essentials is dedicated to increase export volume and encourage more Chinese companies to invest in Malaysia, thus enhancing the ecosystem that benefits businesses and economies in both countries,” Ms. Chin Lee Ping, Chief Executive Officer of Foshan Household Essentials Exhibition Centre, commented at the launch ceremony.

As a pioneer in supplying home building materials and offering home-furnishing concept, we hope to be able to serve our partners better and continue to grow this market with a greater standard of global hospitality and commercial development,” Ms. Chin continued.

In supporting business growth opportunities and investing in potential markets in Southeast Asia, the FHEEC aims to showcase a full range of products from top quality wood flooring, ceramic tiles, designer bathtubs, lighting, to waterproof systems, by carrying brands and services that are known for high quality, cost efficiency and customisable solutions.

The Foshan Household Essentials Exhibition Centre (Malaysia) was built around the concept of glass facades curtain walls surrounding a private garden to create the experience of exclusivity and luxury for customers. This indoor exhibition hall consists of four levels, where the first floor is connected to the annex hall, a space designed for meetings, customer services, and exhibitions. The remaining floors feature 360-degree views of galleries showcasing the integration of technology, design, and quality of modern Chinese manufacturing.

Foshan Household Essential’s long list of prestigious customers and projects are among the top international hospitality brands, including Sheraton, Hilton, Hyatt, Westin, and Marriot International.
