Clarity and poetic romance grace H&M Home’s autumn collection, warming up the home with beautiful textures and elegant colours.

Texture, contrast, opulence and warmth are at the heart of H&M Home this autumn, as the design language expands to include more products, fabrics and fresh ideas for every room. Inspiration comes from the softness of Nordic autumn light, with cushion covers in grey melange, contrasted with soft pastels such as dusty pink.
“I love the mix of clarity and poetry at H&M Home this autumn, and all of the new products that make it such an exciting time for dressing every room of the house,” says Evelina Kravaev Söderberg, H&M Home’s head of design.
In this collection, metallics bring their own shine, especially with brass bowls, trays and candleholders that provide both function and decoration while fake fur adds both warmth and playfulness, with different textures and patterns in cushion covers and blankets as the nights get cooler.
Textures are also combined and contrasted throughout the home, with the autumn table laid with plates and bowls in glass and wood. Here, opulence and romance come from crushed velvet cushion covers, as well as those in lace flower prints and velvet rose print. On top of it all, the dark femininity of lace is an important theme, appearing on duvet covers and pillow-cases, alongside bedsets in sweet floral patterns.
The poetry of the old English library is the inspiration for vintage looking picture frames, as well as a book print which appears on curtains and cushion covers. Decorating enthusiasts are encouraged to experiment with contrast, whether it is from the texture of mohair cushions, or the optimism and shine of sequins. For pleasure and warmth during longer nights, this collection warms up the heart with an eclectic mix of tealight holders in every room, from vintage looking glass to modernist metallics.
