This May, Daikin hosted interior designers and members of the media for an evening of beach-themed revelry at the Mai Bar, the scenic rooftop establishment of the Aloft Hotel in KL Sentral.

Between an obligatory presentation that unveiled Daikin’s Home Central Air Conditioning system and numerous rounds of barroom games with generous prizes on the line, attendees were given the opportunity to familiarise themselves with Daikin’s newest offering in the realm of premier air cooling by mingling with representative members of Daikin’s ProShop – the stable of Daikin-trained and endorsed contractors responsible for the installation and maintenance of HCAC systems in homes around Malaysia.

Interior designers and members of the media gathered in the Mai Bar’s cigar room to take in a presentation on Daikin’s HCAC system.

Attendees got the chance to grab some generous prizes by participating in the gauntlet of bar-room games.

Instead of advocating the conventional deployment of individual air conditioning units in every space that requires cooling, Daikin seeks to provide uniform cooling at potentially lower operating costs over the long term by offering the HCAC system of interconnected ceiling-mounted ducts and cassettes.

Daikin’s Ceiling Mounted Duct with Intelligent 3D Air-Flow blends into the plaster ceilings of modern homes.

As Clement Francis of Design Integra describes it, “Daikin HCAC is a premium air conditioning system that can be of benefit to owners of larger homes. If the air volume on the interior is large enough, there can be savings in using the HCAC system instead of many standalone air conditioning units.”

Daikin provides numerous varieties of ceiling-mounted cassettes and ducts in the HCAC system, each tailored to cope with the requirements of the individual environments in which they are expected to operate.

In addition to potentially more efficient cooling, each space of a home can be fitted with discrete ceiling-mounted cassettes designed for specific conditions – the variety of ceiling-mounted cassette intended for kitchens features additional filtering elements to protect the air conditioning system from deterioration by grease, sensor-laden cassettes in bedrooms divert cold air away from beds for comfort, while cassettes for bathrooms and closets intelligently control humidity.
