Daikin presents a blend of seamless design and innovative capability in the ceiling-mounted air-conditioner – the Coolight Cassette.
Air-conditioners are perhaps the single most crucial appliance one must have while living in the tropics, but integrating an air-conditioner with other fixtures such as lighting can be problematic. To address this, the air specialists at Daikin developed the Coolight Cassette, a ceiling-mounted air-conditioner equipped with down-lights – the first of its kind in Malaysia. With the Coolight Cassette, you will have the ability to alter more of your ambience using a single wireless remote to independently control both the air-conditioning and lighting functions, without disrupting the operation of either.
The Coolight Cassette combines the benefit of ceiling-mounted air-conditioners – the ability to hide the bulk of the appliance within the recesses of a ceiling, with the additional functionality of lighting fixtures in the four energy-saving LED bulbs on the corners of its butterfly-inspired front panel. The elegantly designed front panel is one of the slimmest available at only 20mm thick, enabling the Coolight Cassette to blend seamlessly with a variety of decorative styles.
Space-age design features have been incorporated to ensure the longevity of the cooling coil in the Coolight Cassette: the fins in the front panel are coated in hydrophilic membranes that ensure a consistent draining of water from condensation into the drain pan. For added safety, the drain pan’s water pump can be configured with a tolerance of up to 700mm from the bottom of the drain pan, allowing for a significant discharge of condensed water from the air-conditioner and removing the possibility of an over-flow occurring.
The Coolight Cassette is equipped with the same mechanisms that protect other Daikin air conditioners from electrical fluctuations – the built-in starter is guaranteed to protect the internal electronics from power surges, while an auto-restart routine promises to bring the Coolight Cassette back to operation in the event of a power disruption. As with Daikin’s other ventilating offerings, the Coolight Cassette is equipped with a robust ionizer based on Daikin’s “advanced i-plasma” technology, enabling this ceiling-mounted air-conditioner to produce a torrent of positive and negative ions which serve to disrupt and disintegrate bacteria in the air.
