Through the creative use of ecoinspired
elements, Sky Creation
turned their showroom-office into a
vibrant space with a garden theme.

There are infinite possibilities when it comes to bringing nature indoors. For interior design firm Sky Creation, they infused a chic eco-inspired theme to bring out their showroom office, exemplifying how contemporary spaces can be made brighter and more vibrant with green touches.
Versatile and cosy, their 42.2 square metre showroom-office accommodates a few different spaces: the clients’ discussion areas, a TV nook and a kitchenette. Vertical gardens are incorporated and the design is done up using Sky Creation’s signature treatments to showcase the company’s capabilities in interior design.

According to Astley Ng, Regional Design Principal of Sky Creation, the showroom is designed to maximise the potential of space. Towards the front, a large feature wall serves as a placeholder for a plethora of potted plants, creating a “green wall” effect. Sky Creation’s logo is set at the top centre which further leads the eyes to a compilation of frameworks on the ceiling. Just for this corner, the flooring takes on grass-like carpeting, stretching towards a pseudo-divider that holds a kitchen counter that comes complete with a kitchen sink. Here, the entire set-up creates a welcoming entrance that entices visitors to explore the space further.
“The green wall stands out for me in this space because it resonates with me the most,” says Astley. “We also used a few key elements to bring out the design. For instance, Craft stone as well as green-certified materials like paint and laminates. We also included LED lights for energy-saving purposes.”

Behind the divider wall is a cosy living-TV area where a large chalkboard drawing of Bruce Lee steals the show amid the retro-contemporary feature. This side of the divider wall also acts as a bookcase – a clever way to utilise every inch of space possible.
“Part of the challenge of designing this showroom is despite the tight spaces, there is so much that we want to tell in the design,” Astley remarks. “But overall, I think we have successfully achieved the look and feel we wanted.”
