The Art House is a project by Chiangmai Life Construction which provides a classroom structure for the art classes at Panyaprateep School.
Its striking features are the big free-form bamboo roof and the terrace overlooking the lake. This Bamboo and Earth building consists of one big room,the class room, with a glass front reflecting the waves from the lake onto the walls and roof, a big store room and a toilet.
It also features a covered terrace overlooking the lake attached on the outside where students can sit on the floor close to nature. The walls are made of earth using the Wattle & Daub technique, and the floor is made of rammed earth.
